Deep Urbanism, democratizes the surveillance capitalism of data harvested through the CCTV, satellites, drones, internet bots, and social media platforms and holds up the metaphoric mirror of our digital behaviour. The project demystifyies algorithms that architect our daily routines, decisions and sense of self, brought to legibility in a spatial context. Subverting the innate purpose of ai-tools to be the architectural Robin Hoods of their application, this project leverages the generative potential of deep learning models to create novel architectural and urban form.
