As Iceland's ice retreats, what takes its place? Image-to-image models (pix2pix, CycleGAN) don't invent from nothing; they translate what they are given. So we curated what they were given, and what they gave back: one site carried from 2019 to 2100, and a city composed onto the land the glacier leaves behind.

Within months, Photoshop put image-to-image translation behind a single click. We had reached it before the packaging did.
